Our domestic steel scaffold towers and accessories are all manufactured in house. Our product range is limited to only the most popular and appropriate size tower for domestic use, and includes all the accessories to make use as safe as possible.

Our towers are manufactured from 38.1mm / 1 ½” Prime Pre-Galvanised Steel. All welds are coated with zinc paint. Our platform boards are manufactured from Kitemarked British Standard Scaffold Boards.

Our 4ft x 4ft towers offer a substantial work area which is larger than the majority of cheap aluminium towers on the market. Our steel towers also feel a lot sturdier than aluminium towers due to the materials and safety standards used in manufacture.

What material are the scaffold towers made of? Our scaffold towers are manufactured in our factory using prime pre galvanized steel to high quality control standards. All material is sourced from a local mill with full traceability.

Do you need any special training for erecting Heaton Products towers? For erecting our towers you will need no special training whatsoever. Our towers are simple to put up, and can be built by any competent and responsible person. Please take a look at our Steel Scaffold Tower Assembly Video at the top of this page for a guide.

Will I need any tools for erecting Heaton Products scaffold towers? Certainly not. All components of our towers slot together. We swage the ends of each panel so that they connect together very quickly and easily.

Is aluminium better than steel for scaffold towers? When purchasing a domestic tower we would always recommend a steel tower manufactured from prime galvanised tube. Aluminium is not as strong as steel and the only way an aluminium tower can be sold for a cheap price is because the aluminium material is very thin. This results in a very lightweight tower which will not leave you feeling safe when working at height.

Do you have any maintenance suggestions? We always recommend that you store your braces and tower sections well, ideally within a weather-protected environment. Be aware of any damage to tower braces as this can weaken the structural rigidity of the piece. Always visually check your tower pieces before erection and when taking the tower down.

How much will delivery cost? We offer free delivery on all our steel towers to mainland United Kingdom. Other items are shipped by courier, or via our own transport, depending on size/weight/distance. We aim to get you your goods as soon as possible and will strive to make this work any way we can.
